Specifically, WardsAuto, which puts out its 10 Best Engines list every winter, named the drivetrain in the 2018 Chrysler Pacific Hybrid among the auto world's elite, which makes sense considering it features the same 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine that has won WardsAuto 10 Best Engine honors multiple times in the last decade while appearing in other FCA automobiles.
This one, though, is especially fantastic because that lauded engine teams up with a 16-kWh lithium-ion battery that allows the vehicle to generate as much as 260 horsepower while being rated at 84 MPGe by the EPA. It has a range of well over 500 miles, enough to get most of the way from Baltimore, MD to Indianapolis, IN without having to stop for gas.
