You know what every automobile needs in wintertime? No, not a roof-mounted snowball launcher, though that would be cool. A “winter emergency kit” is what we had in mind, something you can keep in your trunk and containing all the essentials: flashlight, lock deicer, extra hat/pair of gloves, extra antifreeze and wiper fluid, and scraper. No one ever thinks they’ll actually need a winter emergency kit, but it only takes a few minutes and a few dollars to assemble, and the feeling of relief that comes from having one in a pinch is well worth the investment.
